The course is for all those who are interested in teaching Italian as a second language but who feel they are lacking in practical experience in class, or to those who, despite their experience, are not acquainted with the different methodologies our course suggests.
The object of the course is to present the main themes of the modern didactics in teaching Italian as L2 (second language).

COURSE PROGRAM

Part 1. Introductory topics such as student typology, their communicative needs, how a class can be run (focus on the student, development of the student’s autonomy, the role of the teacher), dealing with the room available (activities in groups, in pairs), goals and methodologies plus practical use of the didactic material to be used in class (how to use authentic material, tests, videos, cassettes, readings…)
Part 2. Practical activities: listening (analytic reception of oral language through authentic records); reading (analytic reception of written language through authentic texts) videos (analytic reception of oral language through authentic audio-visual records).
Written production: learning techniques, towards the production of written texts.
Oral production: learning techniques, towards oral productions both with beginners and advanced students.

DURATION OF THE COURSE
The course requires a minimum of 4 participants to get started, it covers one week and it is made up of 20 hours. Furthermore, observations of lessons held by different teachers and in different levels are also possible.

CERTIFICATES
We will issue you with a certificate of attendance stating the type of course you have taken.
